UGC NET June 2014 Notification; Ld:05.05.2014@ http://ugcnetonline.in

The University Grants Commission announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 29th June 2014 (SUNDAY) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian universities and colleges. UGC will conduct NET in 79 subjects (listed under item no. 9) at 86 (including two new Coordinating Institutions) selected NET Coordinating Institutions (listed under Item no. 10) spread across the country.

Important Dates:

Last date for Applying Online & generation Bank Challan:  May 05, 2014

Last date of submission of at any branch of SBI: May 07, 2014

Last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card: May 10, 2014

Last date for submitting the printout: May 15, 2014

UGC NET Exam Date: 29.06.2014

Eligibility/ Qualification:

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer / Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

Age Limit:

For JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years as on 01-06-2014

For Lectureship (NET): No upper age limit

Application Fee: For General-Rs.450, for OBC–Rs.225, for SC/ST/PH/VH – Rs.110/-

How to Apply: Candidate seeking admission to the Test (UGC-NET, June, 2014) must apply online (i.e. www.ugcnetonline.in OR through a link available on the UGC website: www.ugc.ac.in ).

The Application (consisting of one copy of printout of online application form and one copy of Attendance Slip) along with Bank Challan (in original) and other required documents must reach the Registrar/Principal of the Coordinating Institution on or before 15.05.2014.

The envelope containing the Application Form should be superscribed “UGC NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, JUNE, 2014”.

UGC NET Exam Pattern: The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 29th June, 2014 (SUNDAY) in two separate sessions as under:
