Total No. of Vacancies: Vacancies will be determined in due course and will be uploaded on the website of the Commission after finalization of vacancies.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01.08.2016 (Age Relaxation is applicable as per the rules)
Minimum qualification: Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Selection Process: Written Exam (Objective Type), Skill Test in Stenography at 100 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m
Written Exam Pattern: The Paper will consist of 200 Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
General Intelligence & Reasoning – 50 questions
General Awareness – 50 questions
English Language and Comprehension – 100 questions

How to Apply: Only Online application will be entertained for this examination. The facility of on-line application (including payment of fees through debit card) will be available from 07-05-2016 to 03-06-2016 (5.00PM).
Apply Online: Candidates desirous of submitting on line applications may do so. They should not submit print outs of their application to the commission. Online submission of the application may be made at website http://ssconline.nic.in
In this process, candidates may register once and may apply for any examination conducted by SSC. One-time registration is the permanent database for candidates. The Registration ID and password provided by the system should be kept safely so that it can be used for any examination conducted by SSC. The filling of online application contains two parts:
Registration Part: In Registration Part, candidates will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidates shall be prompted to check the details and make any correction in the registration.
Application Part: Application part requires filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature. On-line application will be complete only if scanned signature and photo are uploaded as per instructions.
