The Punjab Pollution Control Board was constituted in the year 1975 vide Punjab Government Notification No. 6186-BR II (4) 75/24146 dated 30.07.1975, after the enactment of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 to preserve the wholesomeness of water. Subsequently, with the enactment of other environmental laws the responsibility to implement the provisions of such laws was also entrusted to the Punjab Pollution Control Board in the State of Punjab.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology Degree in Civil/ Chemical/ Environmental Engineering, in first division / Postgraduate degree / First class Masters Degree / At least first class in three years Diploma in Civil/ Environmental or Chemical Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.
Age as on 01.01.2014: 18 to 38 years
Application Fee (Non-refundable):
For 1 to 5 post: For General candidates Rs. 1000/- and for SC/ ST candidates Rs. 500/-
For 6 to 11 post: For General candidates Rs. 500/- and for SC/ ST candidates Rs. 250/-
Pay-in-Slip will be generated after filling the online application form. Go to the nearest branch of State Bank of Patiala and deposit the requisite application fee using this pay-inslip on next working day. Last date for depositing the application fee is 6/11/2014. One copy of the application fee pay-in-slip will be retained by the candidate and one copy must be attached with the printout of the completely filled online application form.
