NTPC Ltd formed a joint venture with SAIL on 50:50 basis in March, 2001 in the name NTPC-SAIL Power Company Private Limited (NSPCL). NSPCL took over captive power plant-II located at Durgapur Steel Plant (2X60 MW) and Rourkela Steel Plant (2X60 MW) from SAIL.

With effect from 11th September, 2006, BESCL was amalgamated with NSPCL and all properties, licenses, permissions, debt, liabilities etc. with respect to BESCL now rests in NSPCL.

1. Mechanical: 17 Posts
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 70% marks (Pass marks for SC/ST/PWD)

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 70% marks (Pass marks for SC/ST/PWD)

The All India Test is tentatively scheduled to be held on 11.01.2015 (Sunday).
Age Limit: 27yrs as on 30.11.2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Selection Process: Objective Type Written Examination/ Test and Interview.
Exam Pattern: The written test can be taken in Hindi and English. The test will be in two parts. Part-I will be Knowledge Test and will consist of 70 multiple choice questions of the relevant discipline(s) as advertised. Part-II will be Aptitude Test and will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions on General Awareness, Quantitative aptitude, English & Reasoning. There is a separate qualifying mark for each part.
Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply for the vacancies should pay Application Fee of Rs.300/- for Diploma Engineer Trainee post and Rs.200/- for the post of ITI Trainee and Lab Asst.
