Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) invites applications in prescribed forms from the permanent residents of J&K State for the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination- (KAS) 2014. Eligible Candidates can apply on before 12.06.2014.

J&K Police (G) Service – 16 posts

J&K Accounts (G) Service – 02 posts

Important Dates:

Opening Date for Sale of Application Forms for Preliminary Examination: 12.05.2014

Last date for receipt of Application Forms for Preliminary Examination: 12.06.2014

Date of Preliminary Examination (In two Sessions): 12.10.2014

Date of commencement of Main Examination: 01.03.2015

Pay scale: Rs.9300-34800/-

Application Fee:

Rs. 800/- for Open Merit/General Category Candidates

Rs. 550/- for SC, ST, RBA, LAC, Social Caste (SLC) and Physically Challenged (PHC) category candidates

No fee for female candidates in BPL (Below Poverty Line) category.

Age Limit: 21 to 35 years as on 01.01.2014. Relaxation applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University in India or of a foreign University declared by Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to the degree of a recognized Indian University.

How to Apply: The Application Forms duly filled in should be submitted in the designated branches of J&K Bank by or before 12.06.2014. No Application Form shall be received in person or by post, by the Commission.

Admit cards: The candidates are advised to remain in touch with the Commission through its official website (http://www.jkpsc.nic.in). The admit cards shall be available on the Commission’s website for downloading by the candidates from the date as will be notified by the Commission separately. The Commission shall not be responsible for any postal delay of the admit cards sent to them by post. However, if a candidate does not find his/her admit card on the said website or does not receive it by post 15 days before the conduct of examination, he/she in his/her own interest, should contact the Commission’s office at Polo Ground Srinagar/Resham Garh, Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu for ascertaining the reasons or for obtaining a duplicate copy of Admit Card, as the case may be.
