Fast Breeder Test Reactor based on unique mixed Plutonium Uranium Carbide fuel, First of its kind in the world and KAMINI Reactor, the only operating Reactor in the World using U233 fuel are successfully operated. The design of 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor is completed and the construction is in progress.

The company was started on 20.07.1970 due to a vision of the Karnataka government for separate entities for generation and distribution of electric power. This was done, long before world bank dictated power sector reforms were initiated in early 21st century in India. KPCL has 34 dams (including the main, pickup and saddle dams) and 24 power stations across the state with power production capabilities ranging from 0.35 MW to 1035 MW. The total installed capacity of KPCL is 5975.91 MW.[1] The corporation has its thermal power station at Raichur And one more thermal project at Bellary of 500 MW station. The installed capacity of the thermal power station is 1470 MW (210 MW × seven units). The total gross power generation per annum is in the order of 10,362 GW·h at a plant load factor (PLF) 80% and 11,589 GW·h at a plant load factor of 90%. The corporation, in order to increase generation, has planned two additional units in Bellary. One unit is ready. It is awaiting coal allocation from central government.

The next Common Written Examination (CWE) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre posts in the Participating Organisations listed below will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in December 2014. IBPS CWE Clerks – December 2014 Exam Pattern:

1. Reasoning – 40 Marks

2. English Language – 40 Marks

3. Numerical Ability – 40 Marks

4. General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) – 40 Marks

5. Computer Knowledge – 40 Marks

Total Marks: 200

Duration: 120 Minutes

Note: There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each wrong answer one fourth or 0.25 of the marks will be deducted.

Cutoff Score: Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score in each test and also on total to be considered to be called for interview.

Interview: Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE Clerks-III will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations.

IBPS CWE Clerks IV 2014 CALL LETTERS:    

The Centre, venue address, date and time for examination and interview shall be intimated in the respective Call Letter.   An eligible candidate should download his/her call letter from the IBPS’s website www.ibps.in by entering his/ her details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier.
